SINHG EVENING PROGRAM EXPLORES “SECRETS OF CHARLESTON”
Downtown Charleston holds many charms but many secrets, too. Longtime tour guide Tommy Dew will explore some of them in February’s SINHG Evening Program on February 8 at 7:30 at Lake House.
Tommy, a born and bred Southerner originally from Richmond Virginia, is known for his in-depth knowledge of Southern culture and history which gave rise to Charleston’s evolution as the South’s major port city and cultural hub. He’s led thousands of “Tommy Dew’s Walking Tours” in the twenty-three years since he arrived in the city as a College of Charleston freshman in 1985. Tommy and his wife live downtown, where the couple has raised three children in the city Tommy loves. All Seabrook Island residents and guests are welcome at SINHG Evening Programs, which begin at 7pm with refreshments and fellowship followed by the program at 7:30. There is a $5 donation for non-SINHG members.
